By they way, I've made great progress on the family tree. Louis Stolofsky (and the rest of the family) came from current day Kapčiamiestis, Lithuania, - 82 mi SW of Vilnius - in Yiddish it was "Kopcheve" Louis listed this as the last town he lived in when he emigrated.
Around 1900 the Town was (Kopciowo), the District was (Sejny) the province was (Suwałki) which was part of the Russian Empire I also had the writing on the back of one of those photos translated and "SUWALKACH" is a derivative of Suwalki.
When I further researched that area, there are hundreds of Stolowsky's that lived there in the 1800's. So we're really Stolowskys not Stolofskys. Hopefully, they all got out,, because the Nazis wiped out everybody who stayed. I can send you lots of links on the town if you're interested. The Jewish cemetery is still there with a lot of our relatives.
