Dear Dr. Tramo:

I just viewed your web page and sent it also to my wife. This is very
interesting to me and I will continue to follow it. (This does not mean
- as I must inform you - that we will give you any preference in our
review process, but I am sure that you know this.)

We will look forward to your application in the next cycle.

 Regards,

 MK

Dear Dr Katz,

Thank you for your emai and time discussing our application today.

In light of your and your wife's interests in biomusicology, I've attached the Society for Neuroscience's recent press release about out pilot work with premature infants, which we presented at the SFN's Annual Meeting several months.  Also attached is a JAMA article about our newly founded Institute.

I very much enjoyed our conversation today - - perhaps your 16 yr-old (and his rock'n'roll bandmates) might enjoy some of the Selected Readings downloadable via the Educational Activities link - especially if they know George Martin, The Beatles' producer, is one of iMABS' founding Board members (and I a rock "retiree").  Then again, given the generational distance, perhaps our genre is now considered "classical" and not hard(ly) rock to his "ears" (i.e., brain!)

Thanks again for taking the time to explain the application process and the positive response to our Letter of Intent.  I understand, of course, that your and Mrs Katz's intellectual interests in music, medicine, and science run orthogonal to the route through which we met.

Re: you Global Programs - Might you know of other medical centers in the U.S. or around the world that might like to partner with us in a multi-center randomized controlled clinical trial on auditory enrichment in premature infants?

My colleagues and I look forward to uploading our LOI for future consideration in the months ahead.

Best regards,
Mark
