It seems that the Boss is very uptight about making concrete on LSJ. I don't know who or what is getting him upset. Bill has looked at the cost of us making vs. St. Thomas Concrete and it is less expensive here than there. I know we have had issues with break test, part of the process that we have been going through has been to learn how to properly batch and produce. Allen Gifford has done a great job learning and is getting very comfortable with the process. We are using Manufactured Sand today in a batch to get tested and this may very well be the needed piece. We have a back up plan of getting concrete from St. Thomas Concrete if needed. This can be a very unreliable source to rely on. In the long run we are much better off being in control of our own destiny by producing on LSJ and not facing the possibility of getting back charged from subs for failure to supply concrete when and where they need. It was not without a lot of thought getting to the point we are at now. I think a little patience on everyones part will show great results.
