Please join us for a private viewing of the Magna Carta at Sotheby's on Monday evening, December 17th, from 6-8pm.

 

As you may know, a 1296 Magna Carta will be auctioned at Sotheby's the next night with estimates valuing it in the $20-30 million range.  It is the only copy in the United States and the only copy in private hands -- the 16 other copies are owned by the British or Australian governments, or by ecclesiastical or educational institutions in England.   Until several weeks ago, this copy was on display in the National Archives in Washington, steps from the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

 

Leeds Equity is honored to invite close friends and associates of our Firm to see this manuscript in an intimate setting.  I truly hope that you can join us.
