Monday I'm going away for a couple weeks on a vacation w/ my family

However, needless to say I remain VERY interested in seeing an AGI
project get funded in some form ...

Well, damn. A year in jail will certainly be an inconvenience!...
when will your jail time start?
On the other hand, a year passes pretty quickly, so I don't imagine
this will put a big dent in your
psychology or your overall life-course.
Still, I'm quite sorry to hear this.... According to my
understanding, the girls you were involved with
were old enough to know what they were doing, so society really has no
"moral right" to lock you up for
being involved with them (at least, not according to MY system of morality).
All in all I'm a
pretty radical libertarian politically. An awful lot of folks
involved w/ futurist technologies have a
libertarian perspective, not surprisingly.
Anyways, I tried to call you just now but nobody answered -- too late
I guess. You can try me

It will be quite dramatic if our next meeting about the AGI Brooklyn
Project occurs in the visiting
room of a jail ;-p ... damn, this is a fucked-up society we live in.
But past ones have really been
no better -- the fault is really w/ the human brain architecture,
which is precisely what I'm aiming
to supercede in my AGI work !!!
