Subject: RE: Jeffrey EpsteinJeffrey,
So, following up on our conversation today about possible topics and people
for the meeting. Topics might be "the future of energy", "molecular
engineering", "re-engineering humans". I knew of Saul Griffith from his
work with Joe Jacobson at MIT making self-replicating machines -- we were
together at the FAB4 meeting (on digital fabrication) which Neil Gershenfeld
(MIT) organized. http://cba.mit.edu/events/07.08.fab/Following up on your idea for a NY-Science Foundation, if Dubai or any other
group might want to participate in major projects in Personal Genomes or
Biofuels, please let me know, since we are definitely set to go on these. And another book to add to your list: "Evolution Man" by Roy Lewis.
Thanks,
--George
