no problem, I thought you told me that you had moved krause so that you could come sunday. i must have misunderstood. the sweatshirts were given to a few world leaders yesterday, so i thought you two should also have some.

Thank you for the sweatshirts. The thought was very sweet. Next time you send a gift don't put any initials on it so when I regift it no one will suspect. Also in the future think jewelry. You didn't misunderstand. With you I never know what your plans are so since I didn't hear a confirmation from you or your assistant I assumed your plans had changed and you weren't able to do dinner. Just like the Paris trips :-).

im surprised you didnt call to confirm? :). re regifting you just have to find people wth the same initials. i thought that woody might like to try something that is super soft and doesnt have holes

I didn't call to confirm because I attributed it to your scatterbrained quality and I just assumed that plans had changed and you weren't able to make it. In this civilized society the person being invited doesn't usually have to hound the host. And incidentally Woody doesn't feel dressed unless his clothes have holes in them.
