The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, was a huge hit and is reflective of today's political demonstrations acknowledging environmental changes.

Paltrow's film, is set in the future where water has become the most precious resource on the planet, neighboring ranchers Ernest Holm (Michael Shannon) and Flem Lever (Nicholas Hoult) betray each other in a struggle for their family's survival in a desert wasteland.
