The business class ticket stopping over en route was cheaper than the 1 seat left in economy direct. The direct economy was over $1000. My fare is an upfare meaning somewhere along the lines of it is more expensive economy and they put you in business but you are bumped if business is booked. Economy was fully booked.

I have a flight booked from Puerto Vallarta to London as I cannot come back into the US. I feel a little uncomfortable after this and would rather look into booking it myself. I will keep you posted

I did not book Ms ticket.

I spoke to Bella about this some already... If she took a connecting flight on an upfare it is possible the price could have been less than a direct flight in economy if it was the last seat... (I suppose? but really don't know...) I do know the 'upfare' is not as expensive as a first class ticket price... and it is true if the aircraft is changed it is possible you get bumped back to coach (due to the configuration of the new aircraft)
