Re:
Thanks, Jeff - You asked for 'fun' projects. I think we're mostly starving for great conspiracies today; 10-12 person coordinated secrets. What about a New Rosicrucianism of sorts? A Jejune Institute-style blurred reality/fiction negging of your enemies would be pretty damn fun. What are your thoughts on funding and constructing your own intelligence Agency?
I'd also like to do an exclusive science salon sort of thing at a place like Esalen; or maybe on little St. James (experimentation with philosophers/scientists examining physiological stuff; while considering artificial intelligence epistemology)?
Outside of this I tend to think of my mate preferences as evidence of gentlemen to pay attention to. Caveat emptor. Like any decent trader you should estimate various lags/regime changes to seek relevant trends. High profile island orgies also independently come to mind; but I have a strong suspicion that you may already have that covered.
Hehe. I did not expect any different.
Here are some more ideas:
A shadow research planning academy, where scientific visionaries and some trustworthy funding administration folks project future research agendas and new disciplines (independently of their own current efforts)
A series of workshops focusing on neglected knowledge, such as Russian psychopharmacology, Thai architecture, Buddhist psychology, Chinese opinion control, ...
A network of media people that can be used to efficiently place and coordinate friendly items in our corrupt opinion market, or that may be used to keep opposing parties in check
Use AI and machine learning for predicting macroeconomic and political trends (your own climate and weather model of the global economy)
Psychedelic retreats for groups of select individuals with the explicit goal to create a tightly knit, but disentrenched group of individuals capable of radically rethinking and influencing global affairs
A cryptographically secure social network for highly relevant individuals
A news agency specifically designed to amplify signal in the noise, and to eliminate opinion bias as far as possible (There are some more that I would not want to put into email.)
I am very curious for your own ideas, if you like to share some!
