Hi Jeffrey, I thought I'd check in with you because we done a few things that may be of interest to you.

We just published, in Proceeding of the National Academy of Sciences, the first experimental verification that people can have placebo responses without any conscious awareness of any environmental cues. ((I'm attaching.) We think this is an important proof-of-concept that opens many new doors in research. We already have replicated the study with the addition of neuroimaging the subjects and are analyzing the data. We're excited.

Also, we have just had the genetic findings I discussed in the spring accepted in PLoS One. (I'm not attaching because it is "quarantined" but if you'd like to see i can send.) While this study is a first step, we're very existed because we were able to get the genetics analyzes from one of the largest randomized controlled trials ever performed and were able to positively replicated this finding. We writing up this data now.

Finally, I wanted to tell you that the Pioneer Fund of Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has given us a $250,000 grant towards educating the medical community and health care policy makers concerning placebo effects. As usual, we continue to look for other partners to expand our work in other directions.
