Mr Jeffrey Epstein of New York has just magnanimously given me $60,000 for the remaining athletes from Lithuania, Cuba etc. Such a wonderful gesture from a man who is extraordinarily gifted.

I was very moved to hear from our mutual friend, Catherine Lurie a key member of the international committee of the Maccabiah, of your amazing generous contribution of $60,000 for sponsoring young Jewish athletes from distressed communities such as Lithuania, Cuba etc.

The athletes will have a unique experience that will strengthen their Jewish heritage and identity and will become ambassadors of the State of Israel in their own communities.

It will be our honor and pleasure to invite you as our VIP guest to the Maccabiah 2013 opening ceremony on July 18 at the new Teddy stadium in Jerusalem.
