Good morning,
See below for an update on the status of Newark (ZNK) Affirmative Asylum Public Update for April 2017:
This month, in addition to unaccompanied minors and rescheduled cases, we are interviewing applicants who filed for asylum in or around June and July 2014. Some affirmative asylum interviews may be scheduled outside the above date range. If you filed before June 2014 and have not been scheduled at least once for an interview, please let us know.
Please contact us in writing if:
• You would like to withdraw your case
• You would like to request an expedited interview (please include any supporting or documentary evidence)
This update is for cases scheduled at the Newark Asylum Office only. Boston, Saint Albans and Buffalo scheduling updates are provided separately.
We hope this information is helpful. If we may be of further assistance, please let us know.
This application was received on 6/25/15 and is queued for scheduling. An asylum interview will be scheduled as soon as resources permit. The applicant (and any dependent family members over the age of 14) must comply with all requests to appear for fingerprinting before an asylum interview will be scheduled.
Kind regards,
Lauren Cichock
