It's a method of human inquiry that yields testable results that are useful for creating technology and even help cure a small percentage of chronic illnesses. The only "truth" if any is the consciousness in which science is a particular system of thought. No system of thought - science philosophy, theology or religion gives us access to reality or truth. Only going to the source of thought itself can we get a clue to the nature of existence. Science cannot teach me to love, have compassion, joy, equanimity or show me the meaning or why of existence.
