l dont think the perception of music is important . sorry I think the production of it , has been ove=looked. i think the production reflects the underl=ing brain architecture. african beats chinese complex. =estern , rigourous melodies. . . =i think it givces a window into the maker. it is n=t the eyes are a window on the soul. its the music is a window to th= brain that created it

- Are you familiar with Alvin Liberman's="Motor Theory of Speech Perception?" Initially received with ske=ticism; J gained traction over the decades since it was first articulated. G=ven that the first musical instrument was likely the human voice, and give= that song, not sonatas, are universal, Liberman's theory applies to m=sic - above and beyond the fact that speech intonation is often more impor=ant to communication than spoken words (especially, I suspect, in speakers=with low verbal IQs). - M
