How's life? Any idea how to get a US visa for Russians? Is it as difficult as they say these days?

Difficult. But you she can apply in another country if she is there for a reason, she works there. Lives there. etc.

She lives outside Moscow where the wait time for interview is something like 300 days. Riga is 1-2 days so I advised her to go to Riga. She has an apt in her name, car, etc, hopefully that helps. Also she's a student - until this June when she graduates - so maybe she can try for some kind of student visa? Or at least show that she needs to be back for exams? Just not sure if these factors are as relevant as they use to be in current political climate.
