I think you should notify the university that you will be going

i would write that out of abundance of caution I am notifying you that ...

ok, but they can cancel paying you. as leave says you are a danger to campus life . . if you think you are in the right , then lay it out.

dont have to argue with me, if you are confident and to avoid trouble ie not getting paid. why wouldnt you send out of an abundance of caution i am notifying you. etc. if you are going to try to file a grievance you need to be clean

I already told him I would be coming in periodically to meet colleagues in my note to him last week.

doing that would indicate that I think it is justified for me to let him know I am on campus.. I already let him know I will be back from time to time and he didn't send me a note to indicate he thought it was necessary for me to let him know.. but thanks.. if they arrest me, all the better.. writing from my office on campus.

I already wrote to him and told him I would be on campus periodically.. the physics dept has officially scheduled meetings with today's colloq. speaker with me. I am not hiding anything.

where does leave say I am a danger to campus life? If I missed that, it is important. I see just that I am not representing the University, and also that there is no acknowledgement of wrongdoing.
