I think I should be really glad I've had this experience and enjoy adult life I have.

But my life experience w hiring and w romance is that if u are super persuasive and get folk to do things they don't really want to do it usually ends badly.
I have a very good life w Lisa kids etc. easy to put at risk for something that might not materialize at all or if it does might prove transient.
Ms China quite rejecting at moment

the manipulation is not really clever. . It is a gift to be able to have these problems as opposed to most that suffer a swollen prostate :)

not persuasive. open door does not mean freak show barker . just come into my tent. etc. I suggest you put everything in the positive . ie I want us to go away this weekend. as opposed to I dont want to spend the weekend alone... declaratory statements vs convincing , whining begging etc. you dont know , no does anyone else what she really wants to do . in fact she doesnt know. so it is a straw man argument. ie I made reservations for us at oxford. we will hear . steve bannon friday night at the union. I m sorry , but you are too special to me to allow you to say no. Im confident you will enjoy it. , if you decide in the middle to bail. no harm no foul.
this is much more amusing than figuring out if the turkish lira has bottomed.
