Re: Hello--CONFIDENTIAL
Thanks for forwarding me the content of the investigative report by ASU relate= to me and my participation, along with Johnny, at Origins events. =C24)I am attaching what you sent to me so that I may comment on it.:
Hey Lawrence.
I'm glad to hea= from you although, of course, I am saddened that it is under
these c=rcumstances.
Here is my response, which you may forward to the University =f you wish:
I do not recall this or any incident between us as being inappropri=te. I also feel deeply for anyone who feels as though they have been the s=bject of any unwanted attention in this way, so I hope this can provide an= clarity on your situation.
Lawrence Krauss was a close friend, and as I recall h=s behavior towards me was gracious and kind during our visits to the Origi=s Project. I don't recall any such comments by him backstage=at the Origins event, and more generally remember no inappropriate comment= toward me at any time, either in public or backstage during the events, o= at our home or elsewhere, and we left all of our interactions with both h=m, and his Origins staff, feeling very well treated. The Origins events we=e a highlight for me.
I hope this lays this issue to rest.
Due to the public nature of my life and the uniquely public
circumstances=surrounding aspects of my marriage and divorce to my ex-husband (who parti=ipated in the Origins event mentioned above), I request that this statemen= be used internally by the university only. Thank you.
Best regards
Amber Heard.
is there a=y -precedent in an appeal letter to add letters of support? i =hink it is a legal appeal not an appeal to ones emotions . 40=A0 it is legal grounds or not. you can attack the =redibility of witnesses but you have been found to be not credible. =C240 and with a multi year behavior issue however did you bre=k a rule??? I dont think you should suggest a comp=omise in an appeal letter. . you can make refernce to not wanting a =ong drawn out court battle. a bit threatening, but not p=ay your hand
I think you might want to make i= part of the concillaiton process. not to allow once again , t=em to get ahead of you. they ask others re amber . lette=s. etc. you need to remember this will be pu=lished. lull victim shaming not seen to be the done thing4=A0 think if you were writing a two page piece for the ti=es. then add the rest.
This is highly confident=al of course, but it is good news, and I will use it in the appeal doc, wh=ch I am HEAVILY revising today. I am also going to send you another =upport letter that is quite important in a minute.

I agree with you regarding compromise. This is an appeal letter t= the president. It is to explain to him with the proposed disciplinary act=on is not warranted. Letters that were not solicited by the 00 but =hould have been seem fair game in this regard.
This is the only chance I get to have the p=esident review this case.. He needs to see that a large part of the =ubstance of it is incorrect. . Moreover, since complainants are allowed to=have the case reopened as many times as they wish after a determination is=made if they claim to have new evidence or disagree with its findings, a r=fusal to consider this evidence as part of my appeal is further grounds fo= discrimination.
i think the concilation commitee makes the decisio=. if you can reopen then isnt it better to keep am=er heard to yourself incase you lose than you can say new info?
