Off to Virgin Islands=tomorrow for a week, and about to walk out the door of State Department fo= last time. I've agreed to serve as President of the Carnegie En=owment in Washington, beginning in February. They've been genero=s about allowing me a third of my time for other activities, so I remain v=ry much interested in consulting or advisory arrangements. My best laid plans have already shifted; I'll now have=to go off to join John Kerry in Oman with the Iranians at the end of =his week, so our stay in St. John this time will only be three days. =1 promised Lisa we'd just spend the time together, but hope we can tak= a rain check, since I'll want to finish this aborted vacation sometim= in the next few months.
