Re: do these things work

These are external antennas for a specific AT&T broadband card. They would be useful for fixed locations where:

• there was saturation of AT&T signal outside but poor signal penetration inside (ie 71st St), and

• you had no terrestrial internet connection options (cable internet or FIOS will always be faster and better), and

• only needed to get one computer connected (does not work with iPhones, iPads, tv, etc.)

It basically runs a cable from a box which is mounted outside to a desk to plug into the USB card:
