Re:
re indemnity
max is worried that if he gives you money that the children will sue him. I am suggesting that the children sign a document that says they agree with the distribution and will hold MAX harmless for making it.
Valeria forwarded this to me. As I already wrote, the idea that the children would be thinking of suing him seems to me utterly outlandish, and if there is the slightest hint of any such thing, I will react instantly and decisively.
If Max has any such concern, he can simply resign as trustee and do nothing. No one can sue him for telling his clients that he's not representing them any longer. He then does not agree to distribute the funds and is completely free from the threat of any suit.
My own feeling is what I wrote a little while ago. Ask Deborah to draft a letter, and go on from there.
Does that seem OK to you?
