max is worried that if he gives you money that the children will sue him. I am suggesting that the children sign a document that says they agree with the distribution and will hold MAX harmless for making it.

Valeria forwarded this to me. As I already wrote, the idea that the children would be thinking of suing him seems to me utterly outlandish, and if there is the slightest hint of any such thing, I will react instantly and decisively.

My own feeling is what I wrote a little while ago. Ask Deborah to draft a letter, and go on from there.

yes, but I think first you should ask max, why he is reticent. and has he heard from the children? gather all the facts first

If I write him, I'm sure he'll say that he is reticent for the reasons he and Deborah have both outlined: his responsibilities as a trustee under the law.

And I'm sure he'll say that he is acting on his own as trustee, without consultation with the children.

asking him to resign, is probably the best way.

I'm now sure now what you think is the best way to proceed.

Do you think that asking Max to resign should be the first step, or should I first ask Deborah to draft the letter to the children suggesting that Harry and Max resign.
