Thank you so much for your consideration and please do not hesitate to ask any questions!
Dear Linda,
The Foundation is a private foundation, not a public charity.
best regards,
Hello,
Regarding your question on the 990 forms
For my internal purpose, I use the 990 to confirm ein, and tax status. We also use some of the financial figures from it to populate the organizations Foundation Directory Online. Fields we use include: Assets, Expenditures, Total Giving, Contributions received, etc.
We usually also post the 990 on Foundation Finder http://foundationcenter.org/findfunders/990finder/
When a 990 is posted here, we will black out all areas where a personal home address or social security number is listed (usually found in the tax preparers area or listed on a grants list, if grants are made to individuals.)
Below is an example:
We can also customize pages that you want removed entirely or sections you want blacked out as well.
Hope this helps,
Linda
Hi Rich and Jeffrey,
The Foundation Center explains below how they use the 990 tax form. They enclose a sample image of what they block out etc. Thanks for letting me know if I can forward it over to them-- to proceed with getting the foundation listed.
Thank you,
