For what it is worth, they 15 who left were in the minority; it was actually a delightful and smash hit; but one has to have a taste for the aesthetic of the 1820s, for the refinement of a parody of Lord Byron, for the subtle references to Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert.
The audience was enthusiastic.
