Edd Edwards etc

Gino's friend Edd was quite a character, even though he increases my disbelief in paranormal phenomena. I thought that his methods were quite transparent (if you lift your feet off the ground for a while your legs are usually going to twitch after a while; reaction to his push and pull is suggested to indicate that you are not "blocked" etc.). I did not quite understand why he would attempt to use pseudo scientific jargon in front of you, but perhaps he did not do his homework, or he is just part of an older generation?

I checked up on the university research. Most of the measurements were done by the late "Dr" Lewengood, who did not have a PhD and was mostly notorious for crop circle research; he has been accused of making his own crop circles. The current research is done by the parapsychologists at the Rhine institute. (I could not find evidence for the millions in funding they got for researching Edd.) I am skeptical of his claim of having cured brainstem cancer in a child; the testimonial on his website is anonymous and does not claim that the child is cured. (The particular type of cancer has an extremely bad prognosis but —10% of the children are still alive after two years.) What did you think?

I am trying very hard to give things like this the benefit of the doubt, and I try to dismiss the pseudoscience babble as ill advised marketing that might obfuscate a true talent, but his claims amount to significant parts of physics being fundamentally wrong...
