I think if they are going to play the girls card we should be prepared to present the facts. Facts no longer seem to matter. After a one year investigation by the local police, search warrants, trash pulls, surveillance, interviews of over 30 people, the case was presented by the sex crimes prosecutor, to a GRAND JURY for indictment. The charge and the only charge that they returned was for solicitation of prostitution. No more no less. There was not a separate crime in Florida for those prostitutes who were underage even holding themselves out of legal age. Every girl that came to the house, came with the intent to make money and give an erotic massage. Each one. The FBI didn't like the result, so they strung together and tortured statutes in an attempt to fit my circumstances. They suggested that my assistants who answered phones or made calls for me, could be charged with internet trolling statutes, as the phone is a "means of interstate commerce" and the girls would have been underage in some cases. Unlike internet cases where the "victim is either a police person or real child" they repeatedly say they are underage to make sure the perpetrator acknowledges his understanding - repeatedly, and says it over the means of commerce. My assistants did nothing more than ask for the time the girls would like to come and make their money or "work". The telephone as a means of interstate commerce has been used before in violent pimp cases, or using condoms that were bought in another state allowed a jurisdictional hook. As this count might not have been enough the FBI suggested using travel for the purpose (an international travel prohibition to stop international travel for child prostitution - there was no interstate travel law), when a perpetrator had made an appointment to travel to another state to meet his find on the internet, it was considered a confirming step.
