Re: NC 5173 Outstanding Items
Dear Mr. Epstein,
I have a couple items I wanted to confirm and address with you. It would be ideal if we could schedule a conference call either on Monday of next week after the Thanksgiving Holiday, are you available Monday? I would like to include the STM, Charles Thomas as well as James Bashlor and Bo Myers from the Woodshop.
Charles Thomas, the Service Team Manager, has indicated at this time the outdate is February 28th. However, this will move out day by day until the overall scope is finalized and will also change should there be future changes to the scope once it is finalized.
Please review the attached renderings for Exterior Paint. An approval is needed on final color by tomorrow (11/22) morning to ensure the paint is received on time.
The approved veneer sample is tracking to arrive late tomorrow, order will be placed immediately. However, the Wavy Grain Acknowledgement which was on there does need to be signed. I am sending the Acknowledgement Label Overnight (FedEx 770806811976) and ask for you to please sign and return to me for Monday arrival (I included a return label for ease). Upon receipt, I will affix this to the back of the veneer sample next to the approval label.
Clarification needed of what Apple device and model for a docking station at the VIP seat.
I addressed the galley countertop with the woodshop and we feel the best location to transition the countertop to veneer would be the location below indicated by the red line.
a. Feedback requested regarding location
b. Notes regarding work:
i. 2 Options for how to achieve this
1. Veneer over the countertop and cover the nosing with single-ply
a. Suggest adding a quarter round piece of hardwood for a transition between the two
OR
2. Cut off left portion of Countertop and Veneer – added time
a. Countertop and top Cabinet would be removed to cut this portion off as countertop does not wrap around vertical cabinet, but rather under. Area would then be built back up for a veneer flat surface like the credenza top with the nosing being hardwood.
b. We would need to discuss how you would like the transition between the veneer and countertop (top and nosing) finished off. Would you be okay with a seam between the two materials?Removing Single Tables behind VIP seat:
a. Can be done
b. Address the ledge in this area:
i. Would you like us to re-veneer with the lids (as is)
OR
ii. Would you like the ledge to run smoothly over the empty table boxes? If so we will need to involve engineering for change in design and weight & balance. This will add to time and cost.
final color are ok. letters need to be lowered 2. iphone X . 3. galley yes end where suggested but in addition a strip covers the 1 and half inches of the vertical side of the counter top. option one is fine, and the quarter round can continue the full length of the counter top. so that crumbs don't fall on the floor. 4 little tables removed and no need to leave flip tops. 5. the ledge should be smooth.
Thank you for this information. The team is available today after 10:30 for a phone call. Are you available between 10:30 and 11:00?

heather can you tell me how low and how far back can go. the lower the better.
On the tail, the reg. number cannot be lower than the engine's highest point and can go back as far as you would like it to go.
