With the existing heavy brackets and without drilling in to the walls, the closest I can get the picture to the fireplace is 11"...I have hung it up for the time being until I can get the proper heavy duty wall brackets. I wanted you to see it before I drilled any additional holes into the leather wall cover.

Please have a look and let me know if you wish me to buy brackets, drill into the wall and lower picture.
