As to 285:
The lawyer for Louis Bechtel (the former fed judge who is the receiver) who=is in the same law firm as Bechtel asked for an extension until =onday. I agreed to that extension. His reason was that Bechtel was "i= and out of town" but that he (the lawyer) had sent the c "appro=ed as to form" and it was up to Bechtel to decide about the price. I =hink that means the $1.25 million offered is more than the two-thirds mini=um but he would not say that. This is all according to Cara Coniglio who h=s the listing. She seemed encouraged.
As to 1230 SO B:
Christian Angle has called me 4 times in the last week responding to calls =rom Stephen Ploof who represents Tom Maioli, the owner. The cover story is=that Maioli has found something else he wants to buy and to bring in an of=er of $5. I told Angle that $5 was too much and that any interest I had wo=Id be in the $4 range. I expect to hear. I am waiting to hear a response t= that.
As to 410: McCann sent a detailed case arguing that the $6.5 appraisrl was not supported by the market activity. The marshall he deals with sai= he needed some time to work through his system. (There is no two-thirds o= the appraisal minimum.) There are no pending offers.
I dont know if you are monitoring this, but Conrad Black was home in PB for=a day and that burned up a lot of oxygen but Janjigian and Dargan had a po=t up about what cars were in your driveway as a way of divining if you wer= home. A woman called: has a post up on: ob=iously sourced through: and offering quotes from his depo. She called=Gerry who spoke to her once some time ago (at their request) when she did = piece on the Fanjuls. She told Gerry that she was working on a book.
