Fwd: UPDATE
Dear Brice:
Good evening.
It was a pleasure speaking with you yesterday afternoon. Glad to hear you are back in LSJ.
Here is an update on the following items along with commentaries.
PALM TREES:
• Confirmation on inventory of 17' Clear Bare Trunk Coconut Palm trees was delayed due to the fact that our colleague Mr. Clemente Perez who owns the Palm trees 40 acres nursery and who also is the person Pedro and I are recommending for the Landscaping Design and maintenance program, suffered a severe event of the Flu as well as due to the constant heavy rains we have been facing in Puerto Rico for the past few weeks.
- Today I spoke with Mr. Perez and he will provide us with the Coconut Palm tree inventory for us within the next 48 hours (Commencing Tomorrow) for he wishes to present us with an accurate inventory on the palm tree sizes for your evaluation. Meaning that our team will be able to present you with palm pricing structure by latest Friday afternoon.
HEAVY EQUIPMENT REQUEST:
• Pedro is working directly with the Caterpillar distributor in Puerto Pico to obtain pricing info on the equipment and he has been facing delays in obtaining estimate.
• As far as my efforts are concerned regarding the equipment, I also have been experiencing delays in obtaining estimates from my first suppliers options. I raised some hell with them today and I should have their response by tomorrow.
• Currently I am working with other heavy equipment suppliers in Puerto Rico, the US and Tortola that represent Caterpillar as well as with other distributors from JLG, Bob Cat & John Deer to name a few in order to present as options for evaluation. By tomorrow afternoon I will be able to have info in order to present to our team members for evaluation.
CEMENT, AGGREGATES & MOBILE BATCHING PLANT LOGISTICS:
• Cement, aggregates, Cement Additives as well as Barge Loading Operations logistics in Puerto Rico are in place and ready to go. All I require is for you to provide us with the depth survey at both pre identified locations in GSJ.
- For the past weeks I have been searching for Concrete mobile units in PR and US as well.
• I have narrowed search and identified 2 Mobile batching Plants in PR which I will inspect in the following day. From my preliminary evaluation, they look in good shape.
PALM TREES & HEAVY EQUIPMENT SHIPPING LOGISTICS.
Brice, we would like your feedback on the following subjects:
- My current short term shipping logistics plans call for shipping goods from Puerto Rico to St.Thomas and for your team have goods picked up with your supply vessel to deliver to LSJ & GSJ
• My long term logistics plans call for delivering goods via Tug & Barge directly to Greater St James were we can set up a "Staging Operations Area" at either landing locations optioned you suggested (Sand, stone, cement, Palm Trees, Heavy equipment, etc.) and then having goods picked up with your supply vessel in GSJ and transporting them Little St James.
• Shipping Logistics for 40' Flat Racks from Puerto Rico to St. Thomas for palm Trees and construction materials and equipments are confirmed and in place as we speak as well.
• Once you approve heavy equipment purchase, we'll provide you with the landed prices into St. Thomas.
Brice, I need for you to kindly provide mw with the following info ASAP:
- Your shipping agent in St. Thomas contact information.
• Please remember that I urgently require Depth Chart Survey at either discharging options in Grater St. James in order to determine width maneuvering area, 100' out to sea from shore line.
` Your on water content in order to finalise concrete mix designs.
- There are various species of Ficus. Please clarify which species you wish for us to quote.
• Attached please find some photos of the 3 gal. Bougainvilleas pots. They do not look "Too Hot" right know, it's just that they have been taking a pounding by the constant rains we have been facing for the past weeks. Having said this, with a week or two of sunshine, they will regain their strength and posture. By the way, the 200 Bougainvilleas are currently in stock.
Very important! It is imperative that I along with Tug & Barge owner fly over to GS1 with barge owner for a personal inspection of both pre identified discharging locations soon as possible in order to weed out any current unpredicted variables. please advise as to what dates are good for us to fly over with Barge owner.
It would also be a good opportunity to fly Clemente along with us so that he may personally inspect the grounds and have a better idea as to landscaping area needs and for him to evaluate any plague control work that may need to be implemented.
Please advise ASAP as to when it's more convenient for you for us to visit ISJ.
Looking forward to your prompt reply, we cordially remain.
Comments, suggestions and criticisms are and always be welcomed!!
