I have this interview with a Field Street hedge fund, New York, London, Monaco based. The founder absolutely loves me and wants to hire for the operations department either in New York or in Monaco. But I must meet the whole team first, and I know as much about Hedge funds as you know about snowboarding !
If I could call you even for 2 minutes to hear your "encouraging voice", nothing else, it would make me very very very happy!

I met Rod Gancas on 4 of July randomly and talked about snowboarding at breakfast. I also showed my CV later during lunch break. He said "we usually hire only Ivy League graduates for NY office" but lets see. He is very private, reserved, does not like meeting new people, workaholic. He met me 3 weeks later and briefed me for 1 hour on how I should approach the interview process with his team.
He also said that after having interviewed 25 French or Monaco people, that are not good, he thought of me because "you are sharp, seems intelligent, dynamic and can be efficient, you are serious and very good With people that's why I decided to meet you again and propose the job" . He knows I don't have much of finance background but
It won't be an issue since on official interview it will be simple questions.
Must meet his CEO - Paul, head of Operations - William + 6 other Monaco based people. If all good, then will meet 4-5 NY based managers.
According to Rod, people he hired for Operations first, fastly were pulled out to Trading and made lots of money by 26- 28 years old.
He has 35 people working for him in NY, 10 in Monaco. He said that I can negotiate an annual salary EUR 60.000-70.000 with no tax because Monaco. HSBC offers only 30.000/year for an assistant of relationship manager. My job would be to assure that all trades go through reconciliation parties, avoid risk.
