Re: Reuters inquiry
Hi Alexandra,
Is there someone from MIT or the MIT media lab who is available for an interview about the philanthropist Jeffrey Epstein?
I'm a reporter with Reuters, and I'm working on a story about Mr. Epstein's foundation. He has been in the news recently in connection with a federal court case in Florida, and according to his website, he was a donor last year to both MIT and the MIT Media Lab. More at these links:

I want to be sure I have a clear idea of the association between the university and Mr. Epstein.
My number is My tentative deadline is 3 p.m. on Monday.
Best,
Dave

Hi Jeffrey. This came in to my press team. The news about your funding the restoration of the Rothko murals is obviously not true. If the reporter contacted you, would it be possible for you to somehow confirm this fact to this reporter. Also, can you have your web person take down any reference to the MIT Media Lab on your site. That would be very helpful.
Should we give the reporter your email or direct them to someone else?
Thanks.

take down
Hi Jeffrey and Darren, can we also have "MIT" removed from the list?
Hi Joi -
Jeffrey's Web site now says MIT rather than MIT Media Lab, which still suggests that his organization is a donor to MIT. I can reply to the Rothko matter as it relates to the Media Lab, but per the reporter's note, he'll still want to know what Mr. Epstein's association is with the University...
doing it
Hi Jeffrey.
Sorry to be a nag. MIT and Media Lab still on page at:
http://www.jeffreyepstein.org/Recipients.html
Going to need to get back to journalist soon.
Thanks!
- Joi
