i am posting below an extremely nasty e-mail i have received and am copying this note to friends as well as all of my children—my own response follows

For ANY sane person, that has even a modicum of morality and human decency, to even ATTEMPT to justify, rationalize, or defend what Epstein did to those poor, underage girls is unconscionable!

I take great offense to this email and I believe that people are entitled to their opinion even if I don't agree with it, but I don't understand why your children's names are being mentioned repeatedly throughout this lunatic response to a comment that you made. If this guy has a problem with something you said than he should deal with you directly and leave your family out of it. Only a sick individual would rant and rave in such a manner about someone's innocent children that they know nothing about.

As you and I both know opinions are like assholes everyone has one. Do not even dignify this lunatic with a response or an ounce of your time. I am a firm believer that whatever you wish for someone else and their family will come back to you ten fold.
