What are you doing nowadays? I’m trying to decide on the best way to serve. I have been asked to share my experiences with some very large corporations, that translate into running major organizations with many moving pieces, critical mission statements, a formalized hierarchy. At the moment large corporations are focused on not only on the security of profits but on the security of their cybersystems, personnel and protecting themselves from attack. A corporation is not dissimilar from the defense forces, many moving pieces, divisions, org chart, and the intelligence network that military has used in the past to separate data from actionable info.

I've been surprised how many corporations are looking for a new military-like perspective on management. I think that as in the past corporations were focused on stockholders only, and maximizing profits. They are now focused on stakeholders, the community, the employees, the suppliers. Frankly, that is much more a military point of view, and the military needs to be more usually corporate focus on cost benefits. Security is now a concern, cyber security of course, security of their brand, their personal and their information. I have been fortunate to be shown opportunities to run major companies, and of course sit on their boards. I enjoy strategy, and strategic planning, and at the same time am AMAZED by the rate at which technology has moved into the private sector. We of course have had a technological focus in Israel for many years, mostly computation. Now biology and its genetic advances are changing the landscape faster than most can imagine. I feel privileged to be able to contribute some old methods to new industry.
