looking at the base and discoloration on the cabinet door caused by mold.

The "secret doors" shows dark color, which holds mold under the surface.
Woodwork around the columns. Right side already sanded down shows lighter color on the right of the block.
Ceiling above the blackboard, shows sign of water leak.
Crown molding, blue tape marks missing parts (the tips are missing, we accounted for about 200).
The work in progress. Notice the paper laid on the floor, is wrinkled after 2 days in the Library, was laid flat.

The reason I sent you these pictures is to show you that molds are virtually everywhere now.
When you look at the number 7 photo, you can see that only when you sand the surface down, the color returns to an original wood color. The purple color actually shows the mold problem. Estimating the time of completion now, it will take me considerably more time to finish this project correctly. You CAN NOT COLOR OVER THE MOLDS. It would be a short cut with terrible consequences.
I could not sleep well, knowing that in very short future Mr. Epstein will have Library in terrible state of disrepair. I take approach that every project I do, I'd like to do it as I would be doing it for myself.
I did not expect to sand all surfaces down, but right now is the only way to eliminate the molds and restore the wood to the original condition. I have to do some practical solutions. The Library will not look very different but I have to preserve the wood. I will come up with some solutions, but you may do some research on your own.
