Thinking about your conspiracy theory. It doesn't really work because the "conspiracy" I joined had a much different objective than the one that my co-conspirator actually had in mind. He told me the objective was one thing, and I believed him, but in fact, his objective was different. This is why the lying and deception is so critical to understand what happened.
