Re: body paragraph of Virginia Woolf " A room of one's own"

In her thesis, the author infers that in order to create art, all women need financial security and privacy. The lack of the above mentioned results in a lack of freedom. In fact, she expresses this idea of anger and frustration throughout her book using analogies and metaphors. We are immediately immersed in her world of thoughts where women are trapped and discriminated by social institutions, such as libraries. For example, in one of her extracts, the writer creates an image of a library resembling a heaven's door, with a man standing in front of it and denying her admission. In this case, it is possible to infer that the man represents the devil. To the author's surprise, the man is wearing a "black gown" instead of "white wings." In addition, her anger is emphasised by the repetition of the word "never," which gives more weight to her argument. In this chapter, we can clearly feel the oppression and the pain she is suffering. For this reason, wealth is regularly cited as a necessary condition for creativity and a way of establishing one's own rules.
