It's been an AMAZING trip! It's been way too long since I've been in NYC. 1= was WONDERFUL to be at the apartment and Lesley and her elves + the renova=ed apartment made it super easy!

I spent 2.5 days at NYU at a conference. This is something Microsoft (peopl= I hired into MS Research almost 20 years ago!) host and it's held at the l=teractive Telecommunications Program (ITP), where I was adjunct faculty in t=e '90's. They do this annually and choose different topics. Lots on safet=, moderation, and online bullying this year. Also - a little taste of futu=e of entertainment featuring Elastic.TV (the folks who did the internet cam=aign for Game of Thrones). Even better than some of the sessions was the f=ntastic collection of people - dabbling in a number of areas, and catching u= the NYU/ITP folks (that is a spiritual academic home for me in many ways g=ven Red's mentorship for over 20 years....).

Then - I skipped tonight's program in favor of going to see Hamilton, which w=s absolutely brilliant! If you haven't yet seen it, it's one of the rare, s=per genius and memorable plays to see.

I'll take off around 12:45 on Wednesday, stopping to see the folks at The Fu=ure Project before I take off. This is an education non-profit that I love=and I'm on their advisory board.

I'm planning to return for the Pritzker Prize, April 3-5 or 6.... Will you b= in town for that?

The grant is moving forward at UChicago and it looks like we'll pull an inte=esting group together for the first meeting in March.

Are you eating sugar these days? Want homemade cookies for your (almost) bi=thday?

I'm so grateful to you for making the apartment available. Being able to re=lly rest, prepare my own food (yup, I still have a very restricted diet), m=kes a huge difference. And also grateful to Lesley and crew for the TLC.
