Island
I've asked my instructors for places where we can convert our cad file into 3= ( which would probably be rhino or revit).
They all give the same answer -=that there isn't really a service that does that, it is done in house in bu=inesses. They
said best to put notes up and look for students that may be i=terested in doing it. One lecturer also said she could ask in
her business f=r someone who may be interested as a side job. My concern is privacy but wh=n I go into the cad file I can
manipulate it on cad and could remove names o= seas and coves.
( I have played around with it and can try to get it into 3d form digitally b=t I am 2/3 lessons into rhino so I don't want us
to rely solely on that. By=mid May I can convert anything for you!!! :) )
On the physical model/ prototype side. I found a CNC printer at school that w=uld be able to convert a rhino file into a model in foam core or wood. size=would be roughly 2 x 4 depending on proportion and scale of island as it ca= only go 12 inches high. I also found we have some 3D printers including th= makerbot. It wouldn't be very large though.
