Re: Update...
Dear Jeffrey,
We were able to resolve the discrepancies in the topography that caused us many confusions. I'm extremely sorry about sending you incorrect information and rest assured it won't happen again.
We've been going over everything again and carefully studying all the volumes and functionality of the spaces and it's starting to take form. We will send you progress next week as soon as it is presentable.
Some clarifications:
You mentioned "open seating area" in the master retreat. I understand that this area should be covered and protected from the elements but open air without any glass, correct?
In the master bath, would you consider any open-air features like a shower or tub perhaps? (Of course that these would be besides the required enclosed ones).
Do you require an indoor bathtub in the master bath? (If so, double or single?)
Do you use both steam and sauna in the master? Do you like the indoor shower to have steam or you prefer separate rooms for each?
The ladies' residence requires an air-conditioned sitting/dining area or just a covered unenclosed space will suffice?
I assume the ladies' kitchen should be similar to the master (only for snacks and light cooking) since the main kitchen will be remote in order to stay away from any smells. Please confirm.
At the ladies' residence, do we need to consider anything besides the four cabanas/nice baths, sitting area for chatting, pantry (or small kitchen) and pool? Small secondary laundry for their own use perhaps? Anything else?
Do you need anything inside the large cinema besides a nice powder room, the two beds/seats and all the equipment? Any food or soft drinks storage? Another small pantry perhaps?
Thanks again,
Ramon Alonso
yes, to indoor tub yes to outdoor shower. , only steam. separate room. all sitting areas should be air conditioned. outdoor areas need shade.
ladies kitchen more complete. they will use it often. no pool for ladies. cinema pantry outside of theatre.
re steam i told you that the current plan simply needs to be copied. doors shower that opens to outside
all terraces need shade.
Ramon. it appears that most if not all the things that you and i discussed on the trips to the island were fully ignored. shade infinity pool, number of seats. bedroom windows. location of girls. wind. I assume you did none of these drawings. and for the past months while a topo and drone are useful there is virtually no progress. you should send drawings along the way, as to never have a presentation that has so many errors. the images you showed me were great. photos of hotels and homes. the drawings you sent after months bear little resemblance. if any. the mexican image of the small casitas? I have sent your presentation to my group and everyone is shaking their heads. asking how? the great st james doesn't even have informative elevations.
