This ties into the science fellows thing that we're trying to =et up. We were going to bring them in for the summer and the kind of kid w= are looking for is the same. We were going to design on online search and=an nomination system. I could add to it the Jr. Year search person.

Also, the annual disobedience prize should connect with this too.

No one wins a Nobel Prize by doing what they're told. The American =ivil rights movement would not have happened without civil disobedience. l=dia would not have achieved independence without the peaceful but firm dis=bedience of Gandhi and his people. And the Boston tea party would not have=been the opening act of the American Revolution.

The robustness of the MIT Media Lab is in part due to disobedience and the =ab's ability to manifest it in a healthy and creative way. The Med=a Lab is therefore celebrating the importance of disobedience with an annu=l prize. Beginning this summer we will confer the Disobedience Award on wh=t we believe is the year's most interesting, creative, impactful a=d bold act of disobedience in any discipline or geography.

As someone who exemplifies disobedience as an instrument of change I invite=you to join our 2016 Disobedience Award selection committee. With your hel= we will choose the recipient of the prize for the most courageous act of =isobedience over the past year. The time commitment will be modest: your n=minations for the prize and comments on potential recipients as we work to=ard a short list. We plan to present the award at the end of the Media Lab=E2 s summer symposium on July 21, so the selection process will run f=om April through June of 2016.

I look forward to working with you!

In disobedience,

Joi

OK. Ca= we talk in a few min?

Can you read two things for me if you have time?

One is the invitation to the selection committee candidates for the disobed=ence prize and the other this the "design and science" stu=f which is "one science" idea written up.
