Many examples in two different sense realms: sight and sound. The takeaway - one is forced to admit, that even though they KNOW the reality, after being informed, they still can't "see" it. I suggest as a strategy, you express the desire to learn where you might have misunderstood the science explanation. He is unaccustomed to humility.

You can then ask questions re purpose, meaning, hope, and ask for their mathematical, or scientific explanation. We will stay away from time, infinities and quantum. At least for a while. I will show you the mathematician's magic trick of adding "a fudge factor" to fool the novice. How does he explain that if nothing is bigger than god or the infinite, and 1 is greater than nothing, isn't it clear that one is greater than god. If you are a physicist it appears you believe you are that "one".

I am off to see Chomsky at Harvard tomorrow to discuss, the language of thoughts. He believes that the language that we use first begins as an INTERNAL language and only later gets expressed by hijacking some of the other biological mechanisms tongue, breath to create a "spoken language".
