Driving me nuts

So my California friend - good she lives on west coast so I never have to see her - but - and it's been this way for a while I invested in horses with her - which has been a total waste no ROI at all. Only payments to support this hobby - it keeps her off my back except for the phone calls- I must get a few calls a day talking about horses - have to say since my kids ride I don't mind some of the calls - as I learn about riding - but even as short as these calls are - it's a pain Any ideas on how to get out of this calling loop - or just suck it up - part of the trap I'm in ?
