Jeffrey, I have a dear friend of mine Richard Socher who's adjunct professor at Stanford and Chief Scientist at Salesforce. Richard is one of the best people in AI I know with a great reputation in the Valley and supporters like Marc Benioff. We'd love to get him into the running for the McArthur genius grant. Is there any ways you can help/advise how to do that better? We just need to nominate/refer him and it is unclear how to do that right. I can connect you directly so you talk to him and create your own opinion on him and see if you want to help. I deeply care about Richard as a friend and I think there's a good chance that his work on AI deserves this award. If there's any ways you can help I'd really appreciate that. Masha
