Gathering Part II

Email was sent before I finished.

When Isabel and I put together our Passionate Minds Salon along the same lines at our medieveal chateau in France, our guests really enjoyed going together on various outings to see the sights. It was all activity driven. There was no other structure. The activities spurred and mix of people stirred the conversation, and there was never a lack of it...

The evenings at dinner were our only "structured" event. Around the table each night, Isabel and I posed a question, which was framed to elucidate the most interesting response from the group. We went around the table, and each person had to answer the question. Most people don't know what questions to ask, going for the mundane to the overly pretentious. So, during the day, I would always put some thought into the question, also knowing the mix, which would get a good and interesting response. This worked extremely well and people enjoyed it very much.

Over and over again, we heard from our group, that this gathering was by far the best time that they ever had, and so, I believe I can say, it was an unqualified success. I am sure your gathering will be too, as long as it avoid being pretentious, superficial, etc.
