All I asked him was where are the sandals and could he find them. So rude. Problem is that while he gives me nothing, he doesn't demand much apart from money and lodging. Not sure there are many co-pilots around at my time of life. Hardly people queuing up and current photos looking very puffy.

Had a real bust up with R this morning and now heading off for Corfu. He is self-obsessed, absorbed by whatever is absorbing him, unable to accomodate me or anything else at that time. He said he needed 500 pounds for household needs. Why doesn't he go out and earn some? Am I going to face this for rest of my life?

i'm sorry----but as you enter the springtime of your senility , i think you arc in need of a co-pilot , to help fly and navigate through ever more uncertain weather , rather than a eternal passenger, who continues to bring on just one more carry -on. and complains about the lack of space, qualtiy of the journey, and smell of the loo.

Arrived in Corfu. R now saying he is sorry he is such a loser and hopes we can talk things thru after I had told him he needed to be practical and realistic and go out and earn his living. We must keep to this. Tough love.

Talked to R for half hour. Told him that he needs help. That he's becoming a recluse. Unable to combine work, home, me, social life together. Everyone wants to help but this has been growing for years and I cannot spend my life with someone who is so angry, never goes out or sees any of our friends and sleeps for hours and talks only to spirits. Said I had not discussed with you. We have agreed to talk further.

I think have to bring it to a head but not sure I have energy for it.

I have had a lot of exchange with R. He says he knows this is last chance for him to become professional, earn a living etc. I said he needs to follow your advice..

I am not having enough fun in my life, now or ever.
