I feel like Ratso Ritso from Mid Night Cowboy, I am trying to get to the sunshine state, many impediments in front of me at this time. If I just happen to make that greyhound bus sometime in the future, is that lunch invitation you made 10 years ago when I stayed at the Breakers still open? I think I can find my way to Brillo Way. If not, I have a credit at the Breakers. It appears G-D has forsaken Palm Beach, Jeff Pikower, Seth Tobias, don't go swimming, I love you too much. Spending my time in Shul these days saying Kaddish, has brought me back to my religious roots. As you remember, Monday is Torah reading day, today we read the part where G-D said to Abraham to leave his home and place, a place where he had everything and go. And so he did. You know, he never had one good day since he heard the voice of the Lord and obeyed him. He went from place to place from plenty to famine at times. As the "Chosen People", I can't help pondering our collective chosen fate. The reason I mention all of this is for all the good one tries to do in this world, we need only to look back to Abraham to understand our G-D must take the very, very, very long view, which leads me to believe he must be Chinese. Trying to communicate with him in Hebrew has been only partially successful, I am sure I will have better results after I learn Mandarin.
