RE: Helping sponsor students attending the Gadgetoff technology event in NYC by supporting NYC FIRST
I) Gadgetoff: you will be there in spirit... and if you want to dress incognito, the offer to join us stands
If you can help, anonymously, with the funds to truck round trip some scientific gear and an array of optical illusion and other devices... from that mutual friend in California, it would be a great help. Est. round trip trucking cost: $10 k... we have some kids willing to do the shleping.. and, as the Rabbi said in a once funny joke, if any money is left over, I'll give it back. I need to know PDQ on this...
Thanks for listening to my discussion about the Hourglass Initiative. You asked for a simple RFP. I owe you that... but am reworking it for you... so it will come after Gadgetoff.
I am sending you two articles: one about AQ Khan and the Hourglass initiative (on Huffington Post) and another write up on the Hourglassinitiative.org website.
If you need advice on the potential blowback of charitable acts... perhaps I can offer my long experience in journalistic misconstrual ... or "How to take gold and turn it to look like dogshit." Very specialized skill.
is it structured as a charity? if so i'll give you the 10k

Jeffrey,
Thanks for your kindness in offering an anonymous but significant gift of $10,000 to allow some 50 high school students attend and participate in Gadgetoff.
These are star robotics "designers, by the way, and they hope to display their robots as well as participating in the full day of Gadgetoff activities.
This generous and anonymous grant to allow these students to attend Gadgetoff can be effected by a grant to NYC First, the 501C3, as per below.
If and when a check is sent, can someone from your foundation let me know so I can make sure it goes to the right place.
Best regards and great thanks,
Dan
