The Aleph Institute is the only lifeline for Jews that are in prisons and jails all over the United States. Aleph supports the families of inmates with crisis issues and emergencies. Aleph runs support groups for families all over the country. Aleph also supports all the Jewish members of the United States Armed Forces all over the world with books, materials , holiday food items and all their Jewish needs. We have been forced to make painful budget cuts and Aleph's annual budget is down to 1.4 million dollars. All donations go directly towards programming. Aleph has almost no over head and receives no government or other types of funding. We rely solely on the kindness of donors like you to be able to continue our important work.

Due to the economy and the shortfall of donations, we have already been forced to let employees go and cut back on programming. Aleph's cutting back has a direct negative effect on the inmates, their families and the Jews in the military.
